OUR CORE VALUES
As a BC owned and operated mobile based business, VistaShades strives to save their customers money.
Without large overheads, we have the ability to pass those savings onto our clients.
We encourage clients to use us rather than going with big box stores or companies that may be less focused on customer service and ultimately sacrificing quality and value in the long run.
We also aim to offer our clients custom blinds, shades, shutters, awnings and patio covers sourced from local BC/Canadian manufacturers first.
Additionally, our clients are not waiting lengthy times for their orders. As a result, turn around times are around a week to 3 weeks.
Our clients are able to enjoy their investment sooner than average.
Meet Your 100 Mile House Team
Dave Short
“I grew up in Chilliwack in the Fraser Valley never moving far away from my home town. Always fascinated by how things worked I spent many hours of my youth dismantling things and not quite figuring out how to put them back together. Sorry Mom! I found construction in high school and followed that path for the rest of my career on some level or another. As I got older and my body began to protest I happened quite by chance and circumstance upon a small family run company to which I quickly settled in. That company was VistaShades. In my mid 50’s I made the bold decision to move away from my home town to a small town in south central BC, 100 Mile House to be precise and start a completely different path as a retail business owner to which my partner and I purchased a U Brew business called UpTown Brewing Co. Having never lost that connection with that small family run company, which has grown quite fruitfully, I find myself once again working together with them embarking on another chapter in life here in the Cariboo. I look forward to what the future holds with Vistashades, Uptown Brewing Company and myself.”
