As we deal with Canadian manufacturers our turn around time varies from 5-21 days.

Are blinds/window coverings these days designed with childs safety in mind?

All of our corded window treatment products conform to Health Canada’s Consumer Product Safety Directorate regarding tension device requirements for corded window coverings.

All our window coverings and blinds are therefore made either cordless or motorized to fit your specific needs.

What blinds can you see out but give privacy?

There are several types of blinds that allow you to see out while providing privacy. Here are some popular options:

  1. Horizontal Blinds: These blinds consist of alternating transparent and opaque strips. During the day, you can angle the strips to allow light in while maintaining privacy. At night, you can close the blinds for increased privacy.
  2. Top-Down/Bottom-Up Blinds: These blinds can be adjusted from both the top and bottom. You can lower the top part of the blinds to let in light while keeping the bottom part closed for privacy, or vice versa.
  3. Venetian Blinds: Venetian blinds have horizontal slats that you can tilt to control the amount of light entering a room. By angling the slats upwards, you can see out while preventing others from seeing in.
  4. Sheer or Solar Shades: These shades are made from a semi-transparent fabric that allows light to filter through while providing a level of privacy. They are ideal for maintaining a view while reducing glare and offering daytime privacy.
  5. Bamboo or Woven Wood Shades: These shades are made from natural materials like bamboo or woven wood. They allow light to filter through while still providing a degree of privacy.
  6. Privacy Film: While not exactly blinds, privacy film can be applied directly to windows. It is available in various patterns and levels of opacity, allowing you to see out while preventing people from seeing in.
  7. Vertical Blinds: Vertical blinds have vertical slats that can be tilted to control light and privacy. When the slats are tilted, you can maintain privacy while still having a view.

When choosing blinds for privacy, consider your specific needs, the level of privacy you require, and the amount of natural light you want to let into the space. Additionally, the aesthetic and decor of your room may influence your choice of window treatments.
